Virtual PA Somerset

What is a Virtual PA?

In 2004 TelePA described a Virtual PA as “everything you’d want from a dedicated personal assistant – at a fraction of the cost” and yes, it can be as good as that.

A team of virtual PAs can manage your phone calls, your diary, can make arrangements for you, take orders, provide information to your callers and manage projects and campaigns (but not, for obvious reasons, make the tea).

Effective communication is the key skill of Virtual PA, most are highly computer literate and some specialise in supporting IT companies providing first-line technical support.  At TelePA we provide Zendesk support for a number of clients.

For most businesses using a Virtual PA service managing incoming phone calls is viewed as the “must have” service.  New enquiries managed are easy to quantify and the extra deals won means many companies use Virtual PAs as an alternative to employing front of house staff long term.  If this is what you want visit our pricing or give us a call and we’ll listen to your requirements and give you a quote.

Using a Virtual PA – Traps and Tripwires

Some providers are really large call centres with high levels of background noise and low-skill workers.  Few Virtual PA services offer 24/7 coverage, you may want to explore Virtual Reception and Virtual Telephony if this is a core requirement.

Some individuals describe themselves as being a Virtual PA without offering telephone call management – we would call these Virtual Assistants rather than Virtual PAs – we see call answering as a core service and to make sure your calls are answered promptly our Virtual PAs work in small teams.
